Macromedia released new Web server software called ColdFusion Server 5 as its first product since merging with Allaire. ColdFusion Server 5 lets Web developers create applications and content and offers features such as an integrated charting engine, advanced full-text searching, and new language features.

The combined product lets users embed code within their Web pages with Allaire's technology while building graphics with Macromedia's tools. Windows, Linux, and HP-UX versions are scheduled for release in June, and a Solaris version is expected in August. Prices range from $1,295 to $4,995.

NQuire Software Inc. released nQuire Suite 3.0, which includes nQuire Server, nQuire Answers, and the company's newest product, nQuire Delivers. NQuire Delivers, which incorporates nQuire's "intelligence Bot" or "iBot" technology, lets users create their own unique form of insight-driven "information insurance" - where any fact-based problem can be detected, and the appropriate person is immediately notified through devices such as email or PDA.

The nQuire Suite 3.0 is currently available, with pricing starting at $150,000. The nQuire Delivers product is currently available and is an additional option to the nQuire Suite, with pricing starting at $75,000.

(formerly Knosys Inc.) has released ProClarity Analytic Platform 4.0, a Web-enabled, component-based platform for developing and deploying enterprisewide, custom analytic applications. In addition, ProClarity Analytic Platform 4.0 is built specifically for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Analysis Services.

ProClarity Analytic Platform 4.0 contains the ProClarity Enterprise Server, ProClarity Desktop Client, ProClarity Rich Client, ProClarity Authoring Tool, ProClarity Enterprise Server SDK, and ProClarity Client SDK. ProClarity Analytic Platform 4.0 uses a Component Object Model (COM) approach with more than 90 components.

TIBCO has released TIBCO ActiveExchange 2.0, a B2B integration software line that TIBCO hopes will be a more efficient way for global partners to automatically conduct transactions online. ActiveExchange 2.0 lets users manage the integration of trading partners from any geographic location.

ActiveExchange 2.0 boasts other features such as realtime supply chain data sharing, dynamic business process automation, and rapid distribution channel creation. ActiveExchange 2.0 is now generally available, and pricing starts at $50,000 per licensing seat.
